Between composing and performing his own music and developing complex mathematical tools, George Pentchev is a regular grade 12 student in White Oaks Secondary School in Oakville. His fascination with mathematics was evident from an early age, as was his musicality when he started learning piano first with his father and later, at age 8, violin with Jean Grieve. George also studied with Bethany Goluboff and is currently working towards his ARCT in Violin with Adele Pierre. Last year was very successful for him in musical terms – he scored 90 at his Level 10 RCM Violin exam and became the winner of a scholarship from the Hamilton Music Festival, as well as from Oakville Symphony. To top it off, he won the Honeyman Family Trophy at the Brant Music Festival.

George has volunteered for the Oakville Suzuki Association and has had the privilege to be supported for years by ArtHouse Halton.
