Kumar Balan is a Mechanical Engineer and Subject Matter Expert in metal fatigue life enhancement processes in the Aerospace and Automotive industries. He works with companies in achieving business growth in global markets. Kumar has a Master of Business Administration degree from York University, Toronto.
Kumar currently serves as co-chair of the Oakville Symphony Youth Orchestra where his daughter is a violinist with the Philharmonia ensemble. His son was a Young Artist award recipient with the Oakville Symphony for the 2018-19 season. Kumar regularly authors technical papers in his field of expertise and is a member of the SAE Aerospace Surface Enhancement Committee.
