Russian Fantasy concert postponed

Dear Oakville Symphony patrons and friends,

We regret to announce that our next concert, Russian Fantasy, scheduled for April 4 & 5, 2020, cannot be performed on that date. This is due to the temporary closure of the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts, as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic. We support the decision to suspend cultural events such as ours in order to protect the health and safety of our orchestra members and our audience.

We are disappointed for all of you, as well as for our musicians who have been rehearsing for the program, and our guest artist, violinist Véronique Mathieu, who has had to cancel her appearance.

The Oakville Centre has informed us that tickets will be refunded automatically by box office staff. If they need further information to complete the transaction, they will contact you by phone.

It’s our hope that we will be able to reschedule the Russian Fantasy concert, however we cannot be certain at this time.

We will keep you informed about this and whether our May concert will also be affected. In the meantime, thank you for your understanding.
