The Oakville Symphony is fortunate to have a wonderful group of volunteer musicians who enjoy getting together every Monday night from September to May, to make beautiful music together. We also have a core of 11 professional musicians who help us do this.

Since its founding in 1967, the volunteer members of the Oakville Symphony have come from many backgrounds, and all walks of life. We rehearsal on Monday evenings from 7:30pm to 10:00pm at Iroquois Ridge High School on Glen Ashton Drive in Oakville. We play full symphonic repertoire and enjoy accompanying aspiring guest artist at every concert.

If you are looking for an opportunity to play more and have some fun while doing so, the Oakville Symphony welcomes new players. No auditions are necessary for string players however wind spots are limited and may require an audition. We perform 4 weekend concerts per season as well as 2 Family Christmas concerts and a Young People’s concert, under the dedicated leadership of Maestro Roberto DeClara.  Students are invited to join if they are enrolled in grades 11 or higher.
