Throughout our season we invite you to experience a musical journey that blends beloved symphonic masterpieces by Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Gershwin, and John Williams alongside fresh Canadian premieres from acclaimed composers. We are proud to continue our commitment to innovation by featuring diverse and engaging repertoire that reflects the richness of orchestral music in all its forms.
Our stage will shine with exceptional guest artists, including the return of internationally applauded violinist Timothy Chooi, cellist Noémie Raymond, and pianist Illia Ovcharenko performing Beethoven’s majestic Triple Concerto. Local virtuoso Ryan Huang will dazzle in Liszt’s fiery Piano Concerto No. 1, while Anna Stube brings elegance and passion to Sibelius’ magnificent Violin Concerto. We also feature our own Eric Cheng (viola) and Christian Sharpe (bassoon) in dazzling works by Martinů and Nino Rota.

A vivid burst of rhythm and colour opens our season with Angélica Negrón’s Moriviví, presented for the first time in Canada. Internationally acclaimed musicians Timothy Chooi, Noémie Raymond, and Illia Ovcharenko unite their extraordinary talents in Beethoven’s captivating Triple Concerto, a spirited dialogue full of elegance, charm, and intricate interplay. Concluding the performance, Mussorgsky’s iconic Pictures at an Exhibition, orchestrated by Ravel, invites us on a brilliant musical journey, vividly depicting scenes inspired by friendship, memory, and artistic inspiration.
