OSYO conductor leads Family Christmas Concert
We’re delighted that Colin Clarke, one of the conductors at the Oakville Symphony Youth Orchestra (OSYO), will be leading our orchestra at this year’s Family Christmas Concert on Sunday December 12th at 3pm at the Oakville Centre.
Colin writes, “It brings me great pleasure not only to lead the extraordinary Oakville Symphony on this special Holiday Concert, but also to welcome members of the Oakville Symphony Youth Orchestra as special guests. As we bring our musical family together for this annual tradition, we hope you and your family will join us for an afternoon of great music, laughter, comfort and joy.”
Colin is the Artistic Director of the OSYO’s Youth Band and Symphony. His work with young people has earned him recognition as a Molson Great Canadian, one of 150 Canadians making a difference in the community.
In addition to his role with OSYO, Colin is the Artistic Director of the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra, which he founded, and Artistic Director of the Hamilton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. He is an active guest conductor, clinical, adjudicator and composer/arranger.
Many of the Oakville Symphony’s younger musicians have benefitted from Colin’s enthusiasm and dedication as they graduated from the youth orchestra into our own Symphony. We look forward to future collaborations.
