This is a one-time audition and associated award ($500) and may involve playing with the orchestra at a future time at the Music Director’s discretion. Click here for more info.
We ask applicants to prepare two short contrasting works, for example: one fast and one slow, or one slightly longer selection that contains fast passages and slower, more lyrical sections. Maximum time is 10 minutes, and auditions will be unaccompanied.
Applicants must be under the age of 25 at the time of application, and must be entering at least Grade 11 in September. Previous Hollier Award winners may not reapply.
