At this event, you will watch an open rehearsal and hear from our engaging Music Director, Lorenzo Guggenheim. He’ll explain the enchanting story behind Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite, a tale of magic and adventure. The Firebird Suite tells the story of Prince Ivan, who captures a magical firebird and encounters various mystical creatures, leading to a dramatic struggle between good and evil. You’ll learn how Stravinsky used innovative orchestration to bring this fairy tale to life and listen to the full 25 minute performance piece at the end of the event.
