Hannah Wang

Hannah Wang is a recent graduate from Etobicoke School of the Arts. She currently studies flute with Nora Shulman, previous principal flute of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. For the past two years, Hannah has been principal flute of the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra. Hannah has won numerous competitions, notably the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra concerto competition, Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival, OMFA provincials, and more. Hannah was the principal flute of the 2023 National Youth Band of Canada. She has participated in a number of summer festivals, namely the Juilliard Summer Winds program as well as New England Conservatory’s Summer Orchestra Institute, and will be attending Interlochen Arts Camp this year. She has performed in masterclass taught by world-renowned flautists, including Carol Wincenc (soloist, faculty, Juilliard School), Chelsea Knox (principal flute, MET opera orchestra), Marina Piccinini (soloist, faculty, Peabody Institute), and more. Next year, Hannah will be attending Eastman School of Music to study with Bonita Boyd.
